
Capital Campaigns for Colleges and UniversitiesThe College of Southern Maryland
This year marked the College of Southern Maryland’s 50th year Anniversary, as well as the commencement of the foundation’s largest Capital Campaign in the college’s history. Capital campaigns are one of the most effective ways to raise appropriate funds for an organization and require creativity, quality, and effusive optimism to assure supporters that their contributions will make a difference. RCG teamed up with the College of Southern Maryland to develop the materials necessary for a promising and influential portrayal of the foundation’s 50-year commitment.
RCG took on the challenge by beginning with a campaign guide that demonstrated the foundation’s pledge and ambitions. With precision, clarity, and professional design, RCG highlighted each department’s goals within the campaign, and specifically where the funds would be allocated. The guide symbolized and conveyed success and opportunity for students, and strength in community achievement. Rottman Creative also developed an emblematic and elegant 50th Anniversary logo, revealed on the guide and related folder, celebrating the triumph of their past and vitality for their future visions. The color scheme represented the spirit and pride of the College of Southern Maryland, and the bold black chosen for the background portrayed the sincerity and devotion of the foundation. The exemplary photograph symbolized a possible impact of the campaign’s aspirations- opportunity and accomplishment.
RCG carried the campaign’s objectives even further by creating a high-quality DVD that featured an exceptional recount of the campaign’s targets, detailing how the funds raised would impact the enrichment of each department and create an even larger amount of student career opportunities for the future. The campaign’s DVD embodied a series of students, professors, and supporters of the campaign, the lives that will change if it succeeds, and the hopes and dreams the campaign anticipated for the community. |
